This is the same type of material used by Martin in their £500-£700 Mexican-made guitars, because, in addition to their strength and rigidity, high pressure laminates are unaffected by temperature and humidity changes in the way that hardwoods are, providing excellent tuning and setup stability. In addition, these materials are sustainable.
