2 deck controller for Serato DJ that has 16 multicoloured drums pads that allows you to trigger off samples and control cue points simultaneously using the units split mode function, giving you a professional feature at an amazing price.
The Beatmix 2 MK2 brings you a user friendly designed mixer layout, optimized for a club feel, allowing you to work without having to read complex manuals . The controller has a really sleek and smooth feeling crossfader along with the units high quality deck faders and the dedicated equaliser and gain dials. The controller features 16 multi colour drum pads and two extensive FX units allowing you to let loose your creativity. On top of these features the beatmix2 MK2 has ultra flat, touch sensitive aluminium jog wheels with a diameter of 14.4 cm( Not the tiny bottle cap sized platters found on some lesser controllers) allowing you to perform precise beat matching, fast searching within tracks and also to give you a tradition vinyl feel.
The Pad section of this controller has 16 rubberised pads allowing you to perform more creative ideas into your live mix. The 3cm pads are used to control features such as: cue points, trigger loops, select loop lengths, and trigger samples. Any confusion between the features your triggering on the pads is ruled out due to the trigger pads being coloured coded giving you visual feedback regarding status and mode selection, allowing you to always be uncontrolled especially in dark environments, they also look the business too.
The Beatmix comes with a specific Serato sampler control. Your are able to trigger samples using the pad section of the unit. This works whilst in split mode which will allow you to control both cue points and samples on the multicoloured drum pads and the same time.The effects section on this unit are high quality studio effects designed by iZotope and can be creatively manipulated with in Serato, due to the units two seperate FX banks. each FX bank is equipped with three rotary knobs and an endless decoder. With this you are able to choose which FX and play 3 simultaneously on each side. The Beatmix 2 MK2 also has an FX quantize feature allowing you to keep all you FXs in time.
Works with the free to download Serato DJ lite (upgrades to this for full serato are available at extra cost on seratos website)
If you have a full virtualDJ licence this controller will also work with a official full licence version of VDJ
It has a USB connector (the large square type you find on printers ) and is powered by this , it doesn't need the mains or a power brick just a USB socket on your PC or mac.
A phono audio out, Left and right and of course a headphone output with both 3.5mm and 6.35 mm sized jacks so if you loose your headphone adaptor its not a problem!
