This is the head amp version of the Orange Rocker 30 combo. The Orange Rocker 30 amplifier head is powered by a pair of EL34 power valves running in Class A. Valves running in Class A circuitry, though less efficient and generating more heat than Class AB, avoid crossover notch distortion. This give a far more natural sound. The Orange Rocker 30 head outputs 30 watts of power, enough for gigging and enough to get the valves cooking without being deafened. The single stage preamp provides loads of clean headroom. The Natural channel has no eq, no gain, only a Volume pot. The Dirty channel with Volume, Gain, Hi, Mid, and Lo EQ has phenomenal tonal range whether driven into overdrive or on the 9 to 5 side of sanity. Matched with the closed back Orange PPC112 cabinet, the Rocker 30 pumps out the bass with clarity and projection. Using the Standby switch on the Orange Rocker 30 allows the valves to warm up or to remain warm without high voltage being applied to them. This extends the valves life. Allow the Rocker 30 to warm up for 20 seconds before switching to the ON position, and during breaks, the Rocker 30 should be put into Standby mode.
