The Rare Earth is a compact active magnetic soundhole pickup, designed for most steel string, flat top guitars..

It is designed for semi-permanent installation and comes with an endpin jack socket. Some competence in DIY is necessary to fit the unit into the guitar.

The batteries are supplied and are standard 1.5v lithium types.

The unit allows for the provison of an auxiliary mic to be powered from the same power source and blended with the pickup sound for a more authentic tone.
