The Tele took a quantum leap in 1972 with the addition of a single supercharged humbucker in the neck position - perhaps inspired by the 'alterations' done by Michael Bloomfield and Albert Lee to their instruments in the early '70s. This Tele also debuted Fender's proprietary Micro-Tilt neck adjustment feature, plus a bullet truss rod and silver-tipped, skirted amp knobs.
