A truly remarkable dual deck device, allowing users to access and manipulate digital music libaries through USB connectivity. An ideal solution for mobile and permanent installations, the HDC-1000 supports plug and play USB storage devices, hard drives and flash based MP3 players including the Apple ipod. It also supports USB cd/dvd-rom drives for playback of CD audio and DVD discs. There is a menu driven searchable song database allowing you to quickly locate any file amongst thousands on your drive. The unique file explorer mode allows users to browse for files in the same way as you do on a computer. You can also attach a USB keyboard to the Cortex HDC1000 for easy searching. The display is a bright backlit blue and white LCD for easy viewing. Pitch control is available, +/-4% and +/-8%.

There are 2 USB ports, one at the front,and one at the rear. It supports MP3 (vbr and cbr) and WAV formats.

The Cortex is 19" wide and 2U (88mm) high.
