Blackstar was founded by 2 of the UK's most influential amp designers, Ian Robinson and Bruce Keir, who between them designed the Marshall AVt and Mode 4 amplifiers.;Boutique quality, point-to-point turret bard construction and over-sized transformers, but at a down to-earth price. The sound and build quality are so good that in the Guitarist Magazine the A30 got 5 stars out of 5 in every respect and was awarded the Guitarist Gold Award and the A15 got the Guitarist Choice award.

The ARTISAN 15 - beautiful looks and beautiful tone. Two channels, one based on an EF86 Pentode and the other an ECC83 Triode, touch base on a multitude of legendary vintage and boutique reference tones. The EL84 based power section is switchable between 5W single-ended Class A and a more dynamic push-pull 15W Class A configuration, for the ultimate in low power valve amplifier flexibility.
