This is a fantastic piece of kit, just shown at this January's NAMM show in California. It does a similar job to the Tascam CDGT1, but better. The idea is, plug this unit into your hifi or guitar amp or any amplification system, plug your guitar into it, sand jam along to you favourite cds. But what if you can't figure out what your heroes are playing? No problem. With the Playmate, you can slow the track down, but keep the pitch intact, so you can listen and play along, step by step. You can also change the pitch of the playback, to avoid retuning if a track is a bit out.
