Just arrived, the new Sammy Hagar Les Paul.
Check it out in store or on our site. The Gibson Sammy Hagar Red Rocker Les Paul has been designed in collaboration with American rock singer, guitarist, composer and solo artist Sammy Hagar, also known as the 'Red Rocker'.
The Gibson Sammy Hagar Red Rocker carries a pair of Gibson’s most popular PAF-style “zebra coil” humbucking pickups, a ’57 Classic in the neck and a hotter BurstBucker 3 in the bridge. Along with the legendary pairing of Tune-o-matic bridge and stop-bar tailpiece, and the traditional Les Paul neck and body configurations that have made this instrument unparalleled in tone and playability for more than 50 years.
To kick the look up into overdrive, the Sammy Hagar Red Rocker Les Paul wears a highly figured, bookmatched two-piece Grade AA maple top with luscious Cabernet finish on a weight-relieved mahogany body, and a white Hagar-certified “Red Rocker” logo on the headstock face, with Red Rocker “R” on the truss-rod cover.
Add it all up, and it’s one of the sultriest blends of classic tonal appointments and radical new styling that Gibson has ever produced—in short, a guitar that will definitely get you noticed. Each Sammy Hagar Red Rocker Les Paul comes with a plush-lined Gibson hardshell case.
Crafted from a highly figured bookmatched Grade AA maple top and two-piece, weight-relieved mahogany back, the Sammy Hagar Red Rocker Les Paul is finished in stunning Cabernet in a low-build nitrocellulose lacquer with a translucent cherry back, sides, and neck, and polished to a high gloss.
The guitar’s neck and headstock are made in the classic tradition of the original Les Paul. Carved from a single piece of quarter-sawn Grade A mahogany, and topped with a rosewood fingerboard, the design incorporates Gibson’s lauded 17-degree back-angled headstock, and period-correct acrylic trapezoid inlays.19 Apr 10 - 07:56

I am pleased to announce that Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson/Jeff Beck etc) will be again touring the UK with her amazing one woman multimedia show.
The dates and locations for these shows can be found at www.jenniferbatten.com
As per last year, she is again using two model IIs, each with two B1s and a T1. There are no other guitar or backline amplifiers involved.
Her signal comes straight from her Digitech effects unit, through a Palmer speaker simulator and then into the T1s/L1s.
As Jennifer herself says:
'The L1 towers that Bose kindly provided for me on my first solo UK multimedia tour gave me the assurance that I'd have consistently great sound every night. After far too many years of suffering with less than pleasing monitors, I now take the Bose wherever I'm able. I believe the technology is the future for all musicians. The audience also benefits from them as most PA systems ignore all the people right at the front of the stage because the sound usually is sent over their heads, or to their sides to the back of the room. Depending on the room size, shape, and acoustics, often the Bose is all that's ever needed.'
Jennifer has long used L1s for her gigs having bought a pair of Classic L1s many years ago. These are still used for shows in the USA.02 Feb 10 - 03:38
It's a Halloween flavour to the Gibson day on Saturday. Unfortunately Gibson forgot to send us any T-shirts this week, but they are sending us some very tasty guitars. We have just had in (and sold the same day) a lovely 335 59 reissue - very tasty!30 Oct 09 - 06:49
